Sixteen horses have been entered for Sunday’s Fitzdares Peterborough Chase at Huntingdon.

The Venetia Williams-trained Aso, runner-up in the Ryanair Chase to Frodon, heads the entries and ran well to finish third in the Charlie Hall Chase on his return. He has also been entered in the Many Clouds Chase at Aintree on Saturday.

Black Corton also holds entries at Aintree and Huntingdon, while Nicky Henderson’s Janika won the Haldon Gold Cup at Exeter last time out and also has the option of Saturday’s Tingle Creek Chase on Saturday.

Henderson has also entered 2017 King George winner Might Bite, who is in at Aintree too, along with Theinval and Top Notch, who won the Peterborough Chase in 2017.

In addition to Black Corton, champion trainer Paul Nicholls has entered Dolos.

Last year’s winner Charbel could return for Kim Bailey, while Alan King has entered Sceau Royal and Warren Greatrex could field the smart mare La Bague Au Roi.

The entries also include Grade One winner Waiting Patiently and Gordon Elliott’s Alpha Des Obeaux.
