Last year’s Coventry Stakes winner Rajasinghe has suffered a setback and has been ruled out for the remainder of 2018 by trainer Richard Spencer.

The Choisir colt broke the track record at Royal Ascot last June, but ran a disappointing race in the Qipco 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket last month.

A valid reason has been identified, which means Rajasinghe cannot participate at the Royal Meeting this year and will in fact, miss the rest of the year.

Spencer commented: “We are obviously disappointed not to be heading back to Royal Ascot with Rajasinghe, but we have a strong team heading to Ascot nonetheless.”
