Defi Du Seuil and Un De Sceaux, first and second in the Tingle Creek Chase, are set to renew rivalries in Saturday’s Matchbook Clarence House Chase at Ascot.

They are two of the five horses that remain engaged in the Grade One contest, with the Irish raider Un De Sceaux, a three-time winner of the race.

Last year’s winner Altior does not run, meaning Nicky Henderson relies on Janika, while Paul Nicholls has left Capeland in the race. The field is completed by Dan Skelton’s Marracudja, who impressed at Wetherby last time out.
