Fleeting provided further evidence of the return to form of Aidan O’Brien’s yard as she comprehensively landed the Group Two William Hill May Hill Stakes at Doncaster.

Eleven two year old fillies went to post for this prestigious one mile contest.

At the break it was Divinity who went on from Peach Tree, with the field clustering as they raced down the centre of the track.

Divinity continued to tow the field along to halfway, with Peach Tree next and Dubai Beauty poised to the outside.

Heading to the quarter mile pole, the leader was swallowed up, as a wall of five horses vied for the lead: and Dubai Beauty, Dutch Treat, Miss Celestial, Peach Tree and Star Terms.

Star Terms went on with a furlong to race, with Sand Share, while Fleeting began her challenge..

It was Fleeting and Donnacha O’Brien, who gained the best momentum on the far side of the course and powered home, going away late on to win cosily by a couple of lengths.

Star Terms came home second, with Sand Share third and Magnetic Charm an eye-catching fourth.
