Eight horses have been left in Saturday’s Grade One Betfair Tingle Creek Chase, which could feature a clash between Defi Du Seuil and former winner Un De Sceaux.
Defi Du Seuil has already claimed the scalp of 2017 Tingle Creek winner Politilogue this season, when narrowly winning the Grade Two Shloer Chase at Cheltenham in November.
Willie Mullins could run the ever-popular eleven year-old Un De Sceaux, who was last seen winning the Grade One BoyleSports Champion Chase at Punchestown and previously won the Sandown Park race in 2016.
Patrick Mullins, assistant trainer to his father said today: “The plan at the moment is for Un De Sceaux to run in Saturday’s Betfair Tingle Creek Chase.
“He retains all of his old enthusiasm and we couldn’t be happier with him.
“Hopefully, he can run another big race on Saturday.”
The Simon Munir and Isaac Souede-owned pair Sceau Royal and Janika remain in the mix, along with the Ruth Jefferson-trained Waiting Patiently.
The field is completed by the Paul Nicholls-trained Dolos and blistering front-runner Ornua, trained by Henry de Bromhead.
