Eve Johnson Houghton is dreaming of a successful defence of his Queen Anne Stakes title, by Accidental Agent.
A year ago Accidental Agent got the Royal Meeting off to a shock with his ½ a length defeat of Lord Glitters.
The victory gave Johnson Houghton her first Group One success.
The trainer feels her charge has not had the credit he deserves and would love to see him become the first dual winner of the race.
She told the Press Association: “I would just like to stick two fingers up to a few people. Everyone keeps saying ‘that was terrible, that older mile – terrible, terrible’.
“Everyone always says that…you try getting one then.
“I don’t really care if he beat a terrible field – we won.
“I think he’s in great form this time – I’m really pleased with him,” she said.
“He looks fantastic, and he’s very happy in himself – so I just hope we get there and have the chance to give it a shot.
“He’s had problems. We thought we’d sorted them all out, but I knew he’d need the run in the Lockinge, so I was really pleased with the way he ran – considering he’d need it.”
