Tarnawa shaded it to land the Group Three Irish National Stud Racing Irish EBF Blue Wind Stakes at Naas.

Seven fillies took part in this 10-furlong event.

Who’s Steph went into the early lead from Peach Tree and Delphinia.

The leader was joined by Delphinia, with a gap to Tarnawa and Peach Tree, with Credenza next.

Who’s Steph and Colin Keane turned for home with a narrow lead over Delphinia but travelled well to the inside.

Tarnawa came to challenge out wide, but Who’s Steph found plenty at the furlong pole.

Tharnawa came to join Who’s Steph though and got up under Chris Hayes, right on the line, with Delphinia close-up in third, just ahead of Peach Tree.

Dermot Weld would have been delighted with the performance of the three year-old Tarnawa, having trained Blue Wind to win the 1981 Oaks at Epsom. This was his third win in six years in the race.
