Joseph and Donnacha O’Brien enjoyed success in the Roscommon feature, as Downdraft won the Listed Lenebane Stakes.
Just the four went to post for this race over just short of 1 ½ miles.
From the break it was the sole three year-old Massaf who went on and led by a couple of lengths from Downdraft, with Massif Central third and then Dream Ascot.
Chris Hayes and Massaf passed the post and headed out, with a 1 ½ length lead, as they set off on their full circuit.
There was no change in the order, as they left the back straight, with Massaf two lengths clear of Downdraft, as he turned for home.
Downdraft moved a little closer, while Massif Central had yet to be committed.
Massaf quickly came under pressure and Downdraft ranged alongside and went on inside the two furlong marker.
Downdraft led, but Massif Central threw down a stern challenge in the final furlong.
However, Donnacha O’Brien had enough in hand to hold off his rival by ¾ of a length, with Massaf a length further back in third and Dream Ascot not far behind.
