Sunday’s Grade One Hatton’s Grade Hurdle will feature a clash of two of Ireland’s leading mares, as Apple’s Jade and Honeysuckle are among six horses declared for the Fairyhouse race.

Up against them are the Willie Mullins-trained pair in Bacardys and Penhill. The latter is returning from a long absence, but is a Stayers’ Hurdle winner, while Bacardys made a winning comeback.

The John Walsh-trained Davids Charm completes the field.

This top class card also see Samcro and Fakir D’Oudairies in opposition in the Grade One Drinmore Novice Chase. Both horses put up exciting debuts over fences and will be up against Ronald Pump, Burrows Saint, Chef Des Obeaux and Tintangle.

The third top flight race on the card is the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle. Leading the entries is Cheveley Park’s five-year-old Envoi Allen, the Champion Bumper winner who remains unbeaten, but will face a stern test from stablemate Abacadabras. Nine confirmed runners have been declared.
