Pink Dogwood

Pink Dogwood, second in the Oaks to Anapurna, will miss Royal Ascot and instead run in the Group One Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh.

Having landed a Listed contest on her return, the Aidan O’Brien-trained filly looked set for Investec Oaks victory, before being collared late on by Anapurna.

O’Brien told attheraces.com: “We are going to skip Royal Ascot with her and the plan at the moment is to run her in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh on Irish Derby weekend.”

The Ballydoyle handler also stated that at present, his two St Leger winners Kew Gardens and Capri are likely to run in the Gold Cup next week.

Magical, unbeaten in three races this season, is on track for the Prince of Wales’s Stakes and dual 1,000 Guineas heroine Hermosa is set for the Coronation Stakes.

Ten Sovereigns, who lost his unbeaten record in the Qipco 2,000 Guineas, is to return to sprinting in the Commonwealth Cup.
