Aidan O’Brien has revealed current plans for his smart three year old middle distance colts, wit his Epsom and Curragh Derby winners, Anthony Van Dyck and Sovereign, likely to head to the King George at Ascot.

Royal Ascot winner Japan, could head to the Group One Grand Prix de Paris on Bastille Day.

Speaking to ITV Racing, the Ballydoyle trainer said of Japan: “I think the lads are thinking about going to France with him for the Grand Prix de Paris.”

When asked about plans for Anthony Van Dyck, a staying on second to Sovereign in the Irish Derby, O’Brien added:

“We are thinking that he might go for the King George with the horse that won the Irish Derby (Sovereign). That’s the way we are thinking at the moment although that could change.

“Things have to go well between now and then.”
