Henry de Bromhead will give Monalee an entry in next month’s Flogas Novice Chase at Leopardstown as he looks to get his season back on track.

The seven-year-old suffered a nasty fall at that venue over the Christmas period but De Bromhead reports his charge to be back in good shape now.

While Monalee will be given an entry in the Grade One heat on February 4, his trainer will wait until nearer the time before deciding whether to run.

De Bromhead told the Irish Times: “It was a horrific fall but he seems good again now. We’re taking things very slowly with him but he seems OK.

“He will be entered in the two-mile-five (Flogas Novice Chase) but I can’t say for sure he’ll go. I just want to make sure he’s right before deciding what to do.”
