Guaranteed put up a most game effort to see off his rivals in the Listed Tri Equestrian Silver Stakes at the Curragh.

Six took part in this 1 ¼ mile race.

The race got underway with an even break and it was Pacific Ocean, Guaranteed and Insignia Of Rank who led.

Settling down, Guaranteed pressed on as they reached the home turn, with The King moving second on the outside and then Pacific Ocean to the inside rail.

Jim Bolger’s Guaranteed continued to lead to the two furlong pole and found more as The King and Old Glory challenged.

But Guaranteed and Ronan Whelan saw them off – only for Riven Light to come home with a flourish.

At the line, the pair flashed by together and it was Guaranteed who just held on from Riven Light – who had been unlucky in running. Old Glory finished third.
