Cerberus made all for a smart victory in the Grade Three Eur 30 Free Bet Baroneracing Juvenile Hurdle at Fairyhouse.

Nine went to post for this two-mile contest, which often throws up a Triumph Hurdle contender.

Cerberus led over the first from stable mate A Wave Of The Sea.

With a circuit to race, Cerberus was a couple of lengths up on A Wave Of The Sea, who raced alongside Tremwedge, with Dinard Rose next and then Saint D’Oroux.

Four out and there was little change, but the field were covered by about six lengths.

Cerberus took three out with A Wave Of The Sea to his outside, with Tremwedge, Dinard Rose and Saint D’Oroux on their tails and clear.

Two from home and A Wave Of The Sea came to challenge Cerberus – but the latter found more to lead going away at the last.

A good jumped sealed victory and Robbie Power pushed Cerberus out to win by a couple of lengths from A Wave Of The Sea in a Joseph O’Brien one-two. Tremwedge came home third, ahead of Saint D’Oroux.

Cerberus had been beaten a neck by his stable mate on his hurdles debut in October.
