Well Of Wisdom, ninth in the Coventry Stakes, came back to form with a front-running display to win the Listed Prix Rolande de Chambure at ParisLongchamp.
Bastille Day delivered a high quality card of support racing for the big race the Group One Grand Prix de Paris, with this two year-old contest attracting five runners over the seven furlongs.
At the break it was Well Of Wisdom, one of two Charlie Appleby runners, who went on from Mowaeva, with Saqqara King, stable mate to the leader, in third.
Well Of Wisdom and Mickael Barzalona, turned for home with a length lead over Saqqara King, who travelled smoothly into contention on the inside.
Saqqara King perhaps headed Well Of Wisdom, but the latter battled back well and went away, with Helter Skelter closing to the outside.
The front two went clear and Well Of Wisdom held on by about half a length, with Saqqara King a well-beaten third.
