Funny Kid showed his versatility with surfaces, as he got up in the shadow of the post to land the Group Three Prix de Barbeville at ParisLongchamp.

Eleven lined-up for this race over just under two miles.

At the break, there was little pace on, but the leader was Mountain Bell, tracked through by Mille Et Mille, with the grey Nardo to the inside with Doha Dream.

Oisin Murphy and Mountain Bell continued to lead Mille Et Mille, with Doha Dream, Nardo, Prestige Vendrome and Funny Kid.

At halfway, there was no real change in the order, although Prestige Vendome had moved a little closer.

Mountain Bell turned for home ahead of Mille Et Mille and this pair held a three length lead over their pursuers, with the latter going on.

The front two kicked and to the inside, Mountain Bell fought her way back in front, with Doha Dream leading the closing pack.

Funny Kid and Maxime Guyon inched into the lead in a blanket finish to touch off Doha Dream, with Ice Breeze, under a penalty, a close-up third.

The winner had last been seen winning the All-Weather Championships Marathon at Lingfield Park.

Earlier on, Naturally High came through to win the Listed Prix de Suresnes.

Seven three year olds went to post for this 10 furlong event.

Assiro cut out the early pace from Mount Pelion, while Naturally High was settled towards the back.

Into the home straight, Not Mine shot clear, with Mount Pelion struggling to go the pace.

However, inside the final furlong, Stable Genius and Naturally High began to eat into the lead.

Close home, Naturally High got up on the line to deny Not Mine, with Stable Genius close behind in third.
