L’automonie made it four wins on the spin with victory in the Grade One Prix Renaud du Vivier (Grand Course De Haies Des 4 Ans) (Hurdle) at Auteuil.

Ten four year-old horses lined up for this 2 ½ mile contest on heavy ground.

L’autonomie and Angelo Zuliani were straight into the lead.

At the seventh flight, the first in the back straight, the Paul Nicholls-trained Pic D’Orhy and Harry Cobden, took a crashing fall but were thankfully quickly to their feet.

Meanwhile, L’autonomie continued to dominate and turned for home clear of Byzance Du Berlais and Polirico, with this trio having the race between them.

But L’autonomie kicked away at the last and cleared the final flight well to record an easy win. Polirico blundered and unseated at the last and it was left to Cotee Sud to finish fast for second, ahead of the tiring Byzance Du Berlais.
