Bigger days beckon for Bonny South, who ran out a convincing winner of the Grade Two Fair Grounds Oaks.

A field of six three year-old fillies contested this dirt race over a mile and half a furlong.

French Rose and Stop Shoppin Tammy took the field along, with Antoinette and Finite perched in behind.

Finite pressed on at the top of the stretch, but her run was short-lived and she found little under pressure. That gave impetus to Tempers Rising, who battled into the lead.

However, from the back of the field, Florent Geroux asked Bonny South for her effort and she quickened well to storm into the lead.

The Brad Cox-trained Juddmonte home-bred, was going away at the wire, recording a 2 ¼ length victory over Tempers Rising, with Antoinette claiming third.
