Barney Roy

Barney Roy proved the best of the bunch as he lead home a Godolphin clean-sweep in the Group Two Al Rashidiya in Meydan.

Seven horses went to post for this nine-furlong contest.

From the break it was Loxley who led with Sharpalo prominent to the inside.

Loxley took the field along from Mountain Hunter and Dream Castle, as they reached the home bend, with the field well strung-out.

Into the home straight, Loxley was challenged to the inside by Mountain Hunter, but the action unfolded down the centre of the track, as Barney Roy and William Buick did battle with Dream Castle, the pair pulling clear.

Barney Roy, who had not raced since June, proved the stronger, winning by 2 ¼ lengths from Dream Castle, with Mountain Hunter third and Loxley completing a one-two-three-four for Godolphin runners.
