Smart French filly Polydream is set to drop in distance after failing to see out the mile on her recent reappearance at Saint-Cloud.

Jockey Maxime Guyon told trainer Freddy Head that he felt the filly did not stay when finishing sixth of seven to Plumatic in the Group Two Prix du Muguet.

She had previously tried the trip and finished last of 14 in the French 1,000 Guineas last spring.

“She’s very well. No plans for the moment. She came out of the race very well,” said Head.

“She doesn’t stay, that could be a reason for her performance. That’s what the jockey said.

“We could drop her back in distance.”
