Arqana and France Galop will partner to
support some of the most emblematic races for two-year-olds during the
Deauville Meeting as well as two important races for three-year-old fillies.
For several years, the winners of the six races for unraced two-year-olds during the Deauville Meeting have added to its prestige. They have seen the debuts of Miesque, Dalakhani, Olmedo, Senga, Naaqoos, Anodor, Polydream, and Sasparella, as well as the unforgettable battle between Triptych and Silvermine in the 1984 Prix des Marettes.
In order to strengthen their attractiveness and contribute to the enhancement of French breeding, ARQANA is offering an additional bonus of €13,500 to the owner of the winning horse, thereby doubling the original prize money of €13,500.
The races are:
Prix de Tancarville (Saturday, July 27th),
Prix de Lisieux (Sunday, July 28th),
Prix de Crevecoeur (Tuesday, August 6th),
Prix des Marettes (Tuesday, August 6th),
Prix de la Reboursiere (Tuesday, August 20th),
Prix de Montaigu (Tuesday, August 20th).
A “voucher” for horses purchased at ARQANA
An additional €10,000 will be offered to the owner of the winning horse if it was acquired* at one of the ARQANA sales as a foal, yearling or two-year-old. This bonus will be deductible from the next purchase made by the owner at the 2019 yearling sales or at the Breeze Up 2020.
*The transaction must have involved at least 50% of the horse
Two Group 3s for three-year-old fillies also sponsored
Still with the aim of supporting the competitiveness of the French breeding and racing programme, ARQANA has also become a sponsor of the Prix Chloe at Chantilly on June 29th, and the Prix de Lieurey on August 15th at Deauville.
Eric Hoyeau, President of ARQANA, commented: “This new partnership with France Galop is in line with our desire to contribute to the development of our breeding and to maintain the competitiveness of the French racing programme. The “voucher” offered to the winning owners of the unraced juveniles in the six races at Deauville is also intended to congratulate and encourage our buyers before the yearling sales season. We all know how difficult these races are to win, so it is important to make a difference. We hope that these two initiatives will enhance the attractiveness of these events that are an important part of the Deauville meeting. Finally, we were keen to support the two Group Threes for three-year-old fillies, that are key races in view to developing a quality broodmare band for French breeders.”
