For the first time this year the National Heritage Centre at Palace House will be opening its doors to the public during the Christmas Break. The only day the attraction will be closed is Christmas Day itself. Opening hours are 10am – 4pm from Boxing Day until 3rd January.
Enjoy a family day out and make use of our children’s multimedia guide. Work off your turkey on our famous racehorse simulator where you can experience the thrill of riding a racehorse down the Newmarket July Course straight, assisted by our friendly staff.
You will also have the chance to watch the daily demonstrations in the arena at 11am and 2.30pm and meet some top class former racehorses such as Our Vic and Walkon.
Chris Garibaldi, Palace House Director says; “Boxing Day and the days between Christmas and New Year are traditionally busy days for Museums and attractions (maybe it’s to do with wanting something to entertain the whole family that isn’t just watching television) so this year for the first time we will be open over the whole holiday period. We hope that local residents come and visit our wonderful new National Heritage Centre and have an enjoyable day out. There is so much to see and do here, whether you are a racing enthusiast or have never set foot on a racecourse, and of course you can upgrade your admission ticket on the day to an ANNUAL PASS free of charge and come back and see us as many times as you like over the next 12 months.”
The Tack Room will also remain open during the Christmas period with opening hours on 26th – 28th December and 1st – 2nd January being 10am – 4pm.
