The v.2 Beachcomber Hotels Challenge, organised for the third consecutive year by ARQANA in partnership with the hotel group Beachcomber, comes to a close with a convincing winner in the filly CLEM FANDANGO.

The challenge includes all yearlings bought at the 2015 v.2 Yearling Sale according to a points scheme which depends on their performances as two-year-olds, with a closing date fixed for the end of November. CLEM FANDANGO has thus accumulated 245 points thanks to her 2 victories and 6 places in 8 outings. She notably placed 3rd in the Gr.2 Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot behind Lady Aurelia and Al Johrah before stamping her black type claims by winning a Listed race at Ayr and rounding off her campaign with an excellent second place in the Gr.3 Cornwallis Stakes at Newmarket.

The daughter of the speedy Elzaam was consigned at the v.2 Yearling Sale by Haras du Lieu des Champs and agent Federico Barberini signed the docket at €11,000 on behalf of the syndicate Middleham Park Racing LXXV, which is run by Tim Palin. CLEM FANDANGO has won each of them a one week holiday for two people in Mauritius, in the Beachcomber hotel of their choice. The flights will be taken care of by ARQANA.

Second place in the 2016 v.2 Beachcomber Challenge was taken by LANDFALL with a total of 100 points. Consigned by Haras du Cadran and bought for €42,000 by Emerald Bloodstock, this son of Myboycharlie has made a strong impression on each of his two outings and is still unbeaten after winning the Gr.3 Champion Juvenile Stakes at Leopardstown.
