Group 1 Irish 1,000 Guineas winner, JET SETTING, will be offered for sale at the Goffs London Sale in association with QIPCO on Monday 13th June.
This presents bloodstock investors from around the world with an exceptionally unique opportunity, to buy a Classic winning filly with an entry in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Jet Setting, by Fast Company, a son of Danehill Dancer, has thrived throughout her 3 year old career to date, progressing in perfect fashion from Group 3 winner to stunning Classic success under the watch of trainer Adrian Keatley.
Jet Setting’s victory in the 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh was an outstanding performance. She beat a multiple Group 1 winner in Aidan O’Brien’s filly Minding, and the pair forged ten lengths clear of the talented Group winner Now or Never in third. On official ratings Jet Setting is currently the joint highest rated three year old in training in Great Britain and Ireland, alongside 2,000 Guineas winner Galileo Gold.
This is the second time in recent years that Goffs has offered a Classic winner. In 2013 Irish Oaks winner Chicquita was sold for €6 million as part of the Paulyn Dispersal.
Equinegrowthpartners Syndicate member John Kilbride said:
“Jet Setting gave us our best ever day at the races at The Curragh and we now look forward to another big day in London. We have had plenty of interest in her and we feel it best to let the market decide. With potential buyers from all over the world in one place, the Goffs London Sale provides a wonderful setting on the eve of Royal Ascot in which to do this.
“This will be the only opportunity to buy Jet Setting and it is a rare opportunity at that. The purchaser will not only be buying a Classic winner, but one that is going to the Coronation Stakes on the Friday of Royal Ascot with a serious chance, giving the purchaser the potential for an instant return on their investment.
“I have watched the first two London Sales with great interest and admiration as they put on some show whilst ensuring a great sale for the horses on offer and we are delighted that we will be involved offering our special filly on 13th June.”
Goffs Group Chief Executive Henry Beeby said:
“Jet Setting is one of those fairy-tale stories that lights up racing from time to time and we look forward to writing the next chapter in London a week on Monday. We are supremely grateful to the Equinegrowthpartners Syndicate for entrusting their special filly to the Goffs London Sale as she would be a stand out in any catalogue. She certainly represents a rare opportunity to buy a Classic filly with more top classes races to win, after which a significant breeding career beckons.”
The Goffs London Sale will take place on Monday 13th June at The Orangery, Kensington Palace at 5pm. Entrance is by invitation only.
