Aux Ptits Soins is unlikely to be seen out again until the end of January as he continues his recovery from a bout of colic.

The Paul Nicholls-trained six-year-old suffered the setback following his first victory over fences at Kelso earlier this month.

Although the former Coral Cup winner, is reported to be fine, connections do not expect to see him out for a while.

Owner John Hales said: “After he won at Kelso he had a bit of setback straight after as he had a touch of colic.

“He went to a veterinary hospital in Bristol, but he is back home now and is 100 per cent fine. Luckily it was not too serious.

“He will probably need a bit of time and we probably won’t see him out until the end of January.”
